About ExergyJet

ExergyJet is a web-based aerospace engineering platform for thermodynamic and exergy (second-law) analysis of aircraft engines. It evaluates turbojet and turbofan cycles station by station and quantifies not just how much performance is lost, but exactly where — inlet, compressor, combustor, turbine, afterburner, nozzle, and the exhaust stream.

The problem it solves

First-law metrics such as thermal efficiency and TSFC tell you how much you are losing. They cannot tell you where the loss happens or how much of it is theoretically recoverable, because energy is conserved even in a lossy component. Exergy analysis prices the quality of energy: using the Gouy-Stodola relation, every component's irreversibility becomes a comparable kilowatt figure. ExergyJet makes that analysis — normally a spreadsheet-and-textbook exercise — runnable in about a minute in a browser.

What the platform does

Who it is for

ExergyJet is built for aerospace and mechanical engineering students, graduate researchers, propulsion engineers, and university laboratories who need fast, rigorous second-law insight without building their own solver. The free tier runs a complete turbojet exergy analysis with no credit card; paid plans add turbofan cycles, advanced visualizations, and professional reporting.

Learn the methods

The ExergyJet Learn section publishes short, technically precise guides on the methods behind the platform — exergy fundamentals, component-level destruction, and cycle comparisons. The same equations power the analyzer.
